When one thinks of a museum, interactivity is not what immediately springs to mind. However, that is exactly what the MOD Building, located on North Terrace in Adelaide, is all about.
In mid-2015, the University of South Australia commenced production on a $247m health and research facility, which houses the museum. The Museum of Discovery is Australia’s leading future-focused museum, and in the unprecedented times we find ourselves in, looking to the future is indeed essential.
The primary goal of the MOD Building is to engage with younger people - primarily 15-25 year-olds. The museum looks to inspire and create a future full of scientific achievement and discovery. As such, unlike most museums, MOD is full of intense and fun interactive scenarios, such as the ‘gallery of pain,’ which uses warm and cold temperatures to emulate pain, without causing any injuries. In order to continuously keep the museum fresh and true to its cause, MOD begins new exhibitions every six months.
Best Bricks & Pavers were genuinely delighted to provide our Terrazzo Granite Nuit Leathered and Black Series products to this inspiring location. Our Granite Nuit products are dark and mysterious, full of wonder and intrigue. As such, these products perfectly emulate the uncertainty of science and discovery.
