Following seven years of construction, the new Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne was officially opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in October of 2011. The Queen and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh were greeted at the Hospital by thrilled patients, families and staff.
